From what began as a simple goal at the end of a deployment, to mixing the first test batches of whey protein in his kitchen the values and mission of Northwood Nutrition represent founder Joe Hofland humble beginnings. Growing up in northern Minnesota he learned the importance of hard work and accountability at a young age. These values transferred onto the athletic field and he looked forward to playing collegiate baseball until a labrum and rotator cuff injury. In college Joe turned more of his focus to strength and endurance training. His passion for the gym and athletics are what lead him to the vision of starting Northwood Nutrition.
